Register for the 2026 Fall Football Season!
Calling all Somerville or Branchburg residents! Tackle Football registration is now open.

SBU Football is apart of the NJ Suburban Youth Football League, offering tackle football for grades 2-8.

Practice will be held Mon-Thurs from 6-8pm beginning August 10, 2026; and then 2x per week (days TBD) after Labor Day. All SBU Jr. Pioneers' games will be played on Sundays at our home field, Somerville High School, or away at our competitors' fields throughout Central NJ.

2026 Tackle Football

Tackle Football is offered for athletes in grades 2nd-8th.

Tackle football is full contact football where players are divided into teams based on their grades. There are no weight limits.

Team levels are (potentially) 2nd & 3rd, 4th, 5th, 6th, 7th, and 8th. Registrants will be placed on teams based on their grade and number of players available for each team.

Practices are four days a week during the month of August and then twice a week after Labor Day. Practices will be held at White Oak Park or Somerville High School.

Games will be played on either Saturday or Sundays. The full season schedule will be available at the beginning of the season.
